Though Otto’s Ski Shop has been located in Sandy for thirty years, we trace our heritage all the way back to Norway, where Otto and Agathe “Gagga” Rode upheld the Norwegian tradition of cross-country skiing as not only a pastime, but as a way of life. When they immigrated to the United States, they brought their passion for the sport with them, and Otto established the shop in Sandy, OR, as the best place for the authentic cross-country ski experience.
Decades later, the ski shop is still owned and operated by the Rode family, and we continue to honor that Nordic tradition by offering our surrounding community high quality Nordic skiing and snowshoe equipment, apparel and accessories. Conveniently located on Hwy 26 on your way up the mountain, we have what you need for a day in the snow. Pick up your touring, backcountry or skating skis, whether you need a rental or your own new set. If you forgot your gloves on the way to the sledding hill or just need to pick up your Sno Park permit, we’ve got you covered there, too! Our staff is a friendly group of knowledgeable skiers, and we’re always happy to help you find the perfect trail for your purposes and today’s conditions.
